I finally got to the Frida exhibit at the AGO on Sunday. It was the last day. The exhibit was thought provoking. I’m still digesting it all actually. She was such a strong woman, who made a celebrity of herself, all while dealing with an immense amount of pain. I find it amazing what a strong woman is capable of, and how many interpretations of what “strong” really means. Like style, strength means something different for everyone.
The outfit idea pictured above was inspired by the shoes. I was drawn to them instantly. In a wardrobe they would add a new dimension – I mean, sparkly runners… awesome! They make this outfit great for days when you’re literally running around, whether through an art gallery, completing weekend errands, or back and forth to kids’ activities.
