Spring 2009 at Work

Many of you spend a majority of your time in a corporate environment; an environment that requires a conservative look that can make incorporating new trends difficult.  The key is to take a trend and add it subtly to your professional wardrobe. Here are a few ideas for Spring 2009 to get you started!PRINTS
From butterflies, to geometric shapes, to tribal intricacies, bold prints are all over the runway this Spring.  Wearing a printed scarf that reflects your personality adds flair to your outfit while maintaining a strong corporate image.

OVER-SIZED JEWELLERY
A bracelet or necklace that is over-sized for your proportions is an easy piece to pair with your professional blouses, sweaters, and skirts.  Adding trendy jewellery is also an affordable way to update what you already have in your closet.

SHEER FABRICS
A sheer blouse that comes with a matching camisole is a fantastic way to incorporate Spring 2009 at work.  To maintain professionalism, be sure to wear something under the sheer blouse, and keep bra straps out of plain sight!

When adding trends into your at-work wardrobe, remember that less is more.  Wear only one trend per outfit and be sure that you add the trend subtly.
